<p>The Top Load Washer Wash plate turns back and forth at the bottom of the spin basket to circulate the wash load through the water. The wash plate is located in the bottom of your washer's washer tub. To access the part, open the washer lid and remove the cap of the plate with a flat head screwdriver. Then use your ratchet to loosen the bolt inside the plate so you can remove the old part. If your wash plate didn't come with the metal shield, you can transfer it over from your old wash plate. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, minor disassembly of the washing machine and novice repair experience.
