- ADJUSTABLE TAILSTOCK Taper in Tailstock Spindle: MT2. Rotate the lever clockwise to lock the spindle and rotate clockwise to advance the handwheel. To off set the tailstock for cutting tapers by adjusting the four set screws located on the tailstock base.
