Sterile culture tubes are precision molded from premium-grade, chemically inert plastic materials: polystyrene (PS) for clarity and polypropylene (PP) for toughness and chemical resistance. Polypropylene material is almost transparent and withstands centrifugation to 6000 x G. Polystyrene tubes may be centrifuged to 3000 x G. Over fitting caps have inner ribs for two-position fits: loose for aerobic culturing and tight for anaerobic culturing and sealing. Tabs and/or Rings allow easy removal and sealing. Screwcaps have built-in sealing Rings to provide leakproof closures. Most sizes are available with and without caps. All tubes are packaged in easy-to-open bags of 25 tubes each. Individual packaging is available for 12 x 75 mm, 13 x 100 mm, 17 x 100 mm, and 16 x 125 mm sizes. All tubes are gamma radiation sterilized and shipped ready to use. Quality assurance protocol provides lot-to-lot uniformity, as well as traceability and reliable, consistent performance.
